          ELIZABETH PRENTISS

                  More Love To Thee

                    by Sharon James

Most of us know her as being the author of stepping heaven ward and Aunt Jane’s hero, but she has also written many prayers and poems displaying her joys, sorrows, and struggles.

Elizabeth Prentiss' life was a hard one, but she cared not for herself, she cared for others. Always busy with projects and people and on top of that having her duties as a pastor’s wife. was constantly visiting the sick folk, families that had a death or a birth, going to funerals, hosting bible studies, showing hospitality, and writing. With all of that she also found time to paint and made her house pretty. Two things she delighted in.

She led an exemplary life of selflessness and strove for contentment in whatever circumstance she found herself in. her books and stories taught Godly principles for young woman, many woman and parents being sold out for Christ.

Her life expressed sacrifice especially in the way of her health. Not being perfect just trying to live for Christ with all that was in her.
